Upgrading One of My Functions to Use an arguments Block and string Arrays

I have upgraded a function that I often use with some of the features introduced in recent releases of MATLAB®. This upgrade includes an arguments block and uses strings rather than cell arrays of character arrays. Watch as I compare the before and after code.
