discontinuous x axis plot

how do I cut the part between 50 to 80? is there a short way to do so? I need it to be one graph with // in the dead range

This topic has come up lots of times in the forum. Search for it on the forum and in File Exchange (see Jon's answer below) to get some suggestions. Common approaches are
  • Alter the x-data so that there's less distance between clusters of data and then change the XTickLabels to reflect the true x-values within each cluster of data.
  • Create two horizontally contiguous axes that allows your to maintain the real x-values and doesn't require you to mess around with the XTickLabels.
  • Under some circumstances, setting the XScale to log may be sufficient.

I don't think there is a MATLAB command for this but there are many file exchange submissions that should help you
