String vector inside structure not read in Matlab R2014b

Dear all,

I have a problem with a .mat file generated with Matlab 2018.

Besides other variables, it contains a structure with a string vector , which results empty [] when the .mat file is loaded on Matalb r2014b , but is read correctly by Matlab 2018.

The string vector has no empty values.

I would appreciate any idea on how to fix this problem

Strings were introduced in MATLAB R2016b. They are not supported on earlier versions.

If you must use an earlier version, then the solution is don't use strings.

Strings were introduced into MATLAB in version R2016b, so I think you might need to convert those to a different type of object to work with it in R2014b.
