How to find X value

Hi This is the function :

 sigma = (M*b) / ((3.14*a*b^3)/4) - ((3.14*(a-x)*(b-x)^3)/4)

i know sigma,M,a and b how can i find x value? Thanks

fnSigma = (x) (M*b)/(pi*a*b^3/4)-pi*(a-x)*(b-x)^3)/4;  % anonymous function builds in a,b,M
x=fsolve(@(x) fnSigma-sigma,x0);                       % solve for fn(x)|[M,a,b] - sigma == 0

Need a starting guess for x0.
