I'm a newbie in matlab.
I need to make a calculation were I estimate initial values, then with this values solve non-linear equations and at the end compare with a residual value, store the values of the calculation, and start again another loop.
Can anyone tell the best way to do this.
Thanks advance.

Have you tried writing your function as an anonymous function and using the fminsearch function to minimize the equation?
y = @(x) 6*x^2
options = optimset('Display', 'iter');
[x,fval,exitflag] = fminsearch(y, 1, options);
