Field Oriented Control of Delta connected motors

I am currently implementing Field-Oriented Control (FOC) for a delta-connected IPMSM motor, and I have a doubt regarding the voltage limits applied to the d-axis and q-axis current controllers.
For a star-connected motor, the output (voltage) limit of the current controllers is typically set to Vdc / √3.
However, for a delta-connected motor, what should be the appropriate voltage limit (Vd_max and Vq_max) used for the d-axis and q-axis current controllers?
And in delta connected motors we can sense line currents only, so is it required to convert the sensed line current in to phase currents, or should we use that as it is?

For the current controllers, we need to set Vdc as the limit [ sqrt(3) times more than Star-configuration's limit Vdc/sqrt(3) ] to use the delta configuration.
When it comes to the current, what are the measured currents used for? for computing id and iq, we need the phase currents and these need to be represented correctly to figure out the correct d-axis alignment of the stator's magnetic field.
