Why does a system in Simscape Fluid, consisting of components like compressors, turbines, and heat exchangers connected in series, result in all component outlets reaching the outlet pressure when the system exit has a defined pressure Reservoir during steady-state simulation? How can different high and low pressures be transmitted between components? I want the system pressure to vary between components, with the exit being the lowest. Why does the gas pressure at the compressor outlet suddenly drop from the desired pressure to the exit pressure?

it's most likely the parameters in the components and the way the components are driven that's leading to the phenomenon you saw. When modeling with compressors, turbines and heat exchangers, it's a good idea to build test harness models for each component before putting them together. Do you have harness models that you can share and verify the parameters?
