Why can't I connect Current Sensor to Kalman Filter - Simulink

Hey Everone!
I'm new to Simulink and im working on a BMS project, Im just wondering why can't i connect the current sensor straight to the Kalman Filter. I saw different examples from Simulink that instead of a current sensor, they have something called "current profile". Can someone please explain why is that the cause and how should i approach this?
