I am two data files, the data points in one file is more than ( by one data point) the other file. How can I find out the extra data points in another file. I need to subtract one file from another as they are length are different I am not been able to subtract, please help

Can you give more details about your files, what type of files? text or Excell files? how do they look like?

A good way to compare two files in Matlab is to select them in the current folder (use Ctrl button to select your files), then right click on them and select "Compare Selected Files/Folders". You will be presented the comparison tool and will be able to see the differences between your files.
