issues with setPath - does not allow to add/remove

Hi I am working on a group server and trying to add/remove path for files/folders on our IT file server which I have access to.

I get a pop up asking admin user name and password. So it would not work with regular user credentials, and will require admin credentials.

WHy is so?

Are you sure it's a MATLAB issue? MATLAB has no "setPath" command.

My bad! I meant 'Set Path' in Home--> environment. Based on some researched online it seems admin needs to include pathdef.m to user's matlab startup.

I need to find out that for my admin to do it.
