to implement Genetic algorithm in matlab

My Project is about Efficcient Deployment of Sensor Nodes Using Genetic Algorithm. To Implement this what should i know and what should i know before implementing it as code.

You should have read about the general theory of using GA, and you should have read the ga() documentation, and you should have read about WSN and you should either have constructed a WSN simulation to test the configurations in or you should have some equations that can calculate "efficiency" given the WSN node locations.
