How to turn off function signatures?

When editing code the function signatures often get in the way of the next line of code that I want to move to. How do I turn off this really anoying feature. In fact, how do I turn off all of the data tips, function signatures and every other anoying pop-up that keeps on covering up my code?

Home->Preferences->Matlab->Keyboard-> Disable the function hint (in editor and command window).

This works for the matlab editor and the command window but does not affect the function signature tips in the app designer editor. They're extremely annoying, supposed to help newbies maybe but they kill my flow.
