Figure performance on EC2 instance with GPU

The content of a figure window lags when I rotate or pan. Strangely, resource consumption of CPU/RAM/GPU never exceeds 50%. I am not sure where the bottleneck is. Check out this video: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1O76pkI3VkkKm1PZiRAm5su_kYk2g9IGM/view?usp=sharing
Running MatLab 2021a on Windows Server 2016 on g4dn.xlarge EC2 instance.
OpenGL is using the attached GPU:
I believe the GPU is being used to render updates to content in the figure window. When I rotate an object, I see a spike in GPU use. The answer below from 2011 references a property in the figure menu to select the renderer, however I cannot find such a property in the Property Inspector of the Figure or the Preferences of MatLab. Does Matlab 2021a automatically use connected hardware to render figure changes?
DCV NICE support says that this is not a framerate update issue.
