Spherical harmonics - finding the coefficents of values of ODFs

Hi there,
I am very new to the study of spherical harmonics and I was wondering if you could help me. I have values of my ODF and I would like to determine the that coefficients these would have in spherical harmonics. ODFs are symmetric and real valued and so I would just need even ordered basis. I have looked at the downloadable files but I really don't know where to start. I literally have a vector of ODF values (which are values of a signal on a unit sphere.) I really don't know what else to input etc and how to work out what I need. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated
