Dealing with Change Notification Handle issues with M files on network shares - ideas?

Hi all, have any of you come up with solutions (either client or server settings) to the infamous "Warning: Could not get change notification handle for remote <directory_name>." We have our M source code repository stored on a CIFS/SMB based network share, and have not been able to solve this issue. Thanks!
