Memory leak National Instruments

I'm having memory leak problems like https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/42395-memory-issue-with-daq

When I compile a DAQ app and let it run, then the used system mempory creaps up over 3-4 days. I see the solution with this bug report https://www.mathworks.com/support/bugreports/1583018 . Is that still something I would need to do even though my version of MatLab is newer then 2017? I dont want to start messing around with the install, (I'm not that good with install stuff)
