Equivalent of glRotate in Matlab?

If you've used the old OpenGL (before shaders were introduced), you've seen the glRotate function, which automatically changes the modelview matrix so that all subsequent vertices drawn are rotated by it.
Is there an equivalent in Matlab?
I know that you can transform vectors / matrices yourself using your own rotation matrix, but I was interested in finding something that automatically transforms vertices that are about to be drawn with something like plot3 without permanently changing the data.

You can insert a hgtransform as the parent of the objects to be rotated.
