Listbox with HTML (Legend Style)

Hello,
I am trying to create a list box that contains the legends of plotted traces in an axis. I am doing this, because I want to have a legend container that have fixed dimensions.
The legend feature in matlab is not useful if the number of plotted traces is very high.
I know I should use HTML but I am not able to draw the lines followed with words per line.
Can anyone support in this topic?
I am using Matlab 2011b.
