how to enlarge the driver buffer memory allocated for data acquisition ?

I am trying to develop a matlab data acquisition program. When I try to add more than 8 channels I am getting an error "The driver buffer allocated is insufficient. Please enlarge the memory allocated for driver using configuration utilities".What may be the reason? How to enlarge the driver memory allocation?
