any idea where can i learn the basics of gca gcf set and get

i am new using this type of code:
hAx(1)=gca;
hAx(2)=axes('Position',hAx(1).Position,'XAxisLocation','top','xlim',[x2(1) x2(end)],'YAxisLocation','right');
and i don't know how to change the color , the title and other properties
any suggestion

I recommend reading through the first few Topics pages linked on this documentation page for an introduction to how properties of Handle Graphics objects work and how you can query and set those properties to control how the graphics objects look and behave.
