Receiving string data over BLE

I am trying to send data from a bluetooth server, in my case an ESP32 microcontroller and collect the data in matlab over BLE. The data transfer happens as bits. Presently I am sending the chrecteristic and reading it, the same way in matlab tutorials, but the data transfer is as bits. Is there an option to send 'string' as 'string' in matlab.

I understand that you would like to transfer data between a Bluetooth Server and BLE as strings.

To send and read the data as strings, you can use write() & read() if the number of characters to be transferred is available. You can refer to the following documentation for further details:

You can also use the pair writeline() and readline() by setting the terminator as follows:

configureTerminator(device,"CR")
