I get my peaks at the wrong frequency and with the wrong amplitude.

I have measured values as a vector and want to do a fft. I know that the largest amplitude should be at 10.4Hz due to known frequencies. My code is as follows:
P2=[measured values]
function [fx, Fpositiv] = fft_trans (fs, a)
N = length(a);
F = fftshift(abs(fft(a)))/N; %Fouriertransformering och uttag av amplitud
Fpositiv = F(floor(N/2)+1:N); %Tar ut värdena för de positva frekvenserna
Fpositiv(2:length(Fpositiv)) = Fpositiv(2:length(Fpositiv))*2; %Fixar till rätt amplitud
fx=linspace(0,fs/2, length(Fpositiv)); %Skapar frekvensskalan i x-axeln
end
[fP2_de, ffP2_de] = fft_trans(fs, P2_de);
plot(fP2_de,ffP2_de)
xlim([0 20])
and get the plot as the PNG-file.
I know the first peak is DC-offset but it is the other that I'm confused about, Do anybody se any eroor in my code that
distorts my fft response?
