plotting a graph error

When I wrote this code I got that error. Even though I tried other codes for plotting ans it should be right I get the same error over and over again.

What happens if you execute this?

clc,type newplotwrapper

I'm not sure I'm allowed to share the contents of this file, but it should be a function with this structure:

function ouput=newplotwrapper(varargin)
%comments and copyright statements

%a line of code involving groot
%another line of code

%a comment followed by a line of code wrapped in an if-statement

If running the type command doesn't return this, something is wrong with this file. The only way I know to repair such a file is by reinstalling Matlab or restoring it from a backup (or if you get someone to share it with you).
