3D perception of a 2D image

Is there any objective metrics to evaluate if a 2D image is perceived as a 3D scene? or should I evaluate the images by subjective methods?

thank you so much, but maybe I have not asked my question clearly. Actually, I am looking for methods to compare 2D images. let's say, having two 2D images, I need to evaluate which one gives a better perception of a 3D (or 2.5D) surface.
