can i get help with installing matlab, please?

I have tried for the umpteenth time installing matlab on my computer but i keep getting an error message - Unable to connect to Mathworks. i've been on mathworks website and tried several suggestions - unchecking proxy settings, disabling firewall and antivirus protection, changing environmental variables. Nothing has worked! Does anyone have any idea what i can do to resolve this problem, please? i'm using a hp laptop - Windows 10, x64 OS
