Using an Android Smartphone to send data safely through thingspeak

Dear all,

We want to send data (from accelerometer sensor) using an Android Smartphone in a safety way, through thingspeak. We have the following question: does thinkspeak could be implemented with some kind of data security, through Simulink Support Package for Android Devices or through MATLAB® Support Package for Android? How could we implement HTTPS or MQTT connections with the ThingSpeak API, for the Android-based smartphone?

Simulink Support package for Android devices has blocks specifically to read or write to ThingSpeak chanels:

https://www.mathworks.com/help/supportpkg/android/ref/thingspeakwrite.html

It uses https, so its secure. No need to manually implement https or mqtt.
