How can I simulate jamming fault at a certain time?

Hi,
I am currently trying to simulate jamming faults in an electric braking system at different simulation times. I am currently doing it by swaping the ideal rotational friction block with another one with higher friction value. However, this means the fault is already present at the start of the simulation. I am trying to find a way to trigger the fault after a certain simulation time. I would be grateful if you could help me achieve this.
Thanks in advance.

One possibility would be to use the Rotational Damper in Simscape Driveline:
This damper has fault capability. It seems similar to what you would like. Basically, there is a 'standard' value of damping, and a faulted value. The faulted value could be higher (jammed), or lower (blown) based on what you would like. The fault can be triggered at a pre specified time. Another option is to use Loaded-contact friction between two rotating surfaces - MATLAB (mathworks.com). The normal force is an input, so you could vary that input to clamp the brake down at some time.
