Is it possible to create a protected model in different release than the one to be used in?

Hi

The model provider uses other matlab release (2017) to create a protected model and I have different Matlab release(2019a).

Is it possible to use their protected models in my main model without changing the Matlab releases?

Are the protected models only compatible with matlab releases they have been created?

Hi Milad,

Cross-release protected model is getting supported in recent releases. Please check the content under 'Use Models Protected in Previous Releases' in this documentation page.

Unfortunately, cross-release feature is introduced starting from 2018b, so protected model created in 2017a/2017b can not be used in later release.
