Hi,
Nice to meet you. Now, I am learning how to smooth the signal by wavelet denoising. As I know, before denosing the signal, the first thing we need to do is the wavelet resconstruction. I have found an example provided by the mathwork, the link is (https://uk.mathworks.com/help/dsp/ug/calculate-the-channel-latencies-required-for-wavelet-reconstruction.html). As shown in this example, for the wavelet reconstruction, we need to know the group delay of the wavelets by using 'fvtool' command, they use bior 3.5 as the example and its delay is the constant (5.5). But if I want to use other wavelets, I will find its group delay is not the constant. For example, in dB4 wavelets, the group delay for the low-pass filter used by the Dyadic Analysis Filter Bank block is shown as the following figure. Based on that figure, its delay is ranging from 4 to 6. In this case, what values I should use in the calculation?
Thanks,
Di
