I am plotting a Hydrogen Angular Probability Density, and I found the polar plot of the Angular Probability density versus the angle theta ( the elevation), the graph is here:
How could I copy the polar plot and rotate it about the z axis (i.e. rotate it for 2pi) to form a 3D surface with z axis pointing upward?![](https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/uploaded_files/400049/image.jpeg)

Hello! As I understand it, you are trying to to revolve a line about a certain axis so that you can obtain a 3D surface. There are few examples you can look into to get some information.
This submission to the File Exchange, Solids of Revolution, shows a 3-D plot of a curve revolved around a specified axis. The example is one of the several submissions in MATLAB File Exchange on MATLAB Central which is a forum for our product users to interact, exchange information and knowledge, without MathWorks' involvement. Feel free to contact the author of this submission directly for specific questions about the implementation.
