Segmentation of nails from hand

I am doing color segmentation to obtain nails from the hand. As the color difference between nails and hand is very less i have not got any satisfactory results. How do i proceed if true

You could start by uploading your image to some web site. I assume you mean fingernails, not nails from radiographs of constructions accidents, but you never know. Try tinypic.com or http://snag.gy
