Why am I not able to use stepfun in MATLAB?

I know that stepfun is available in MATLAB but I cannot use it. How do I use stepfun?

The function "stepfun" can be found in Control System Toolbox. In order to use it, you need to install and use the Control System Toolbox product. 

 

Note: The "stepfun" command is obsolete since 2002 and there is no longer documentation for it. Nevertheless, you can check description of what "stepfun" is meant to do by typing the following in the MATLAB Command Window:

>> help stepfun
