simulink not updating scope

I have recently migrated from Matlab 2018b to 2020b.

When running Simulink 2018b, my scopes updated as the simulation progressed.

When running Simulink 2020b, my scopes only update after the simulation has completed.

I would like to see the scopes update as the simulation is running.

What setting in 2020b do I need to chnage to get this functionality back?

It might be a visual misconception, e.g. the simulation runs too fast for eyes to catch. Change the simulation stop time to be 'inf' and try again.
