Hello everybody,
I am getting the /home/mikael/.matlab/a
pp_installer_cache/R2018b/glnxa64/installagent/install: 1: exec: /home/mikael/.matlab/app_installer_cache/R2018b/glnxa64/installagent/bin/glnxa64/install_unix: not found
error while trying to install compiled MatLab software on my new Linux Mint 19.3 computer. This is quite strange, as I have already done the same routine for at least 5 times on different computers with the same operating system and similar hardware in our company. The MRE 2018b installs fine, but any compiled software gives this error. And yes:
  • my computer is 64 bit
  • I re-installed MRE 2018b using unzip
  • my gcc is quite new
  • I did use sudo when installing
This issue has been adressed in the MATLAB forum before, but the suggested solutions have been trivial, and none has done me any good.
Here is the output of inxi -Fxz
