Hi everyone, I am trying to output, on the x axis of my graph
z'
Now, I am using the matlab command xlabel('Z','fontsize',12,'fontweight','b');
but require an escape character so that the function does not mistake this.
python or java would have a syntax such as \ to escape but I am not having any luck with this in matlab.
Thank you!

xlabel('Z''','fontsize',12,'fontweight','b')
Inside Matlab strings the quote is the escape character for the quote.
