Can I delete temp folder after installation?

Hello community!
I have installed MATLAB on my Lubuntu pc but, during installation, I got a problem with the size of the tmp folder. So i used -tmpdir and created a temp folder on my own in my Download folder and the installation worked. Can I now delete that folder i created?

Yes. I delete mine with no bad side effects. I don't know why they don't clean up after themselves after they extract the self-extracting installer to a temporary folder.

If I understand correctly, then yes, you can delete the temporary folder. See this post.
