How can you use MATLAB Grader in Moodle Quizzes?

MATLAB Grader can be integrated into Moodle as an external tool. How can you use MATLAB Grader in Moodle Quizzes, to implement MATLAB Grader as a quiz question?

May I reopen this thread, by asking how?

I am able to to create a quiz and include a grader-question as external tool.

But then, there is no opportunity to select the desired question.

If I run a test-preview, the problem selection shows up (as it does for a newly opened standard grader task), but this does not save the question. As it is only a tets-preview, the selection is not saved permanently for the students opening it. Starting a new preview results in the grader problem selection page.

External tools cannot be used as question types in Moodle Quizzes.

The alternative is to create multiple activities of type MATLAB Grader and group them in folders in the activities list. Then, go to the Gradebook configuration in Moodle and create folders to weight/total grades for all MATLAB Grader problems (and in relationship to other quizzes and assignments) and organize them as desired. This has the effect of putting a single/new gradebook entry for the set of MATLAB Grader problems alone, or a single grade for the combination of a quiz and set of MATLAB Grader problems combined, into the gradebook.

There are currently no plans to develop such an add-on, Marco. In the meantime, the Moodle community might be able to help provide a supported solution that enables External tools being used as additional question types in quizzes.

While we have not tested it extensively, there is a Moodle plugin to allow External LTI tools to be used as an additional question type in a Moodle quiz. Based on the documentation, this should also work when a MATLAB Grader problem is configured as the External LTI tool in this way.

Hello, I would like to ask some help regarding the LTI quiz plugin. I did install it, and I tried to set it up, but when I insert a question in a quiz, students cannot see which problem I choose from my grader collection. The question just shows a screen like the one below.

You may want to reach out to your LMS Administrator for support using this Moodle plugin. MathWorks does not support Moodle or other plugins directly. You can also open a Customer Support request with MathWorks and we can try to assit your LMS Administrator in using the correct MATLAB Grader LTI settings to attempt to get this plugin to work for your LMS instance.

I've tried to create a folder in a Moodle's course, but them how can I add the Matlab activities to that folder?
