Creating sensors in MATLAB terrain

hi,
We are currently working on cognative radio spectrum sensing. We need to study the effects of path loss on the sensors in a terrain. I just wanted to know how do you create a matlab terrain and how can we place sensors in it to study the path loss.

With this limited level of details it is impossible to create a valid answer. The number of answers to "How can we place sensors" is limited by quantum mechanics only.

@ eric: there are already many terrain profiles implementd or u can use random generator n 3d plot to make 3d image of a terrain
