JVM segmentation error when using JVM inside '.m' File

hello matlabers,
I am encountering a problem when I try to use JVM to read .xml files inside a '.m' edit file. It runs fine when I paste the same code in main command window. here is some detail, ill try to keep it short:
1. I am using 32 bit vista architecture
2. The result of ver is :
MATLAB Version 7.8.0.347 (R2009a)
Java VM Version: Java 1.6.0_04-b12 with Sun Microsystems Inc. Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM mixed mode
The dynamic path is being set inside '.m' file. Any help is appreciated.
