How to create a callback function for each drop down value that displays its own .JPG image in appdesigner.

I want to make a simple GUI in appdesigner that has a drop-down menu with 4 different items. I want the GUI to display 4 .JPG images that correspond to each of the drop-down items. How do I do this?

1. add image in app, suppose its name is Image
2. Create a drop down menu suppose its name is DropDown.
3. Add 4 items and name them Image1,Image2,Image3 and Image4
4. Add corresponding itemsdata
5. go to callbacks tab and add callback to ValueChangedFcn
6. give path to app.Image.ImageSource according to Values

Thanks for the help but I am still a little stuck. I got steps 1-5 down and a need a little extra help on step 6. Can you give an example of what the code would look like? Lets say I have Figure1.jpg that a want to display in the image when someone clicks on the item in the drop down called Figure1.

What have you written so far?

Inside the ValueChangedFcn, you could have something like this:

    case 'Image 1'
        app.Image.ImageSource = '\path\to\image1';
    case 'Image 2'
        app.Image.ImageSource = '\path\to\image2';
    case 'Image 3'
        app.Image.ImageSource = '\path\to\image3';
    case 'Image 4'
        app.Image.ImageSource = '\path\to\image4';
end

What if I need to add the pre loaded images like peppers or something like that please help.

I mean if I have to use already uploaded image in Matlab like cameraman or something how do we modify it I am bit stuck there help needed

If you haven't removed these images from the MATLAB path, then MATLAB should be able to find them, e.g.:

app.Image.ImageSource = 'peppers.png';

Note the following from the docs for uiimage(), specifically for the ImageSource property:

"Supported image formats include JPEG, PNG, GIF, SVG, or m-by-n-by-3 truecolor image array."
