Hi all,
I am trying to have a photorealistic visualization of earth in Simscape, e.g. this NASA Earth model. While I can import arbitrary shapes (here: the geoid) as an stl or step file, the visualization remains monochromatic.
Any Ideas, how this can be achieved?
Many thanks!

Hello,
From my understanding, you want to manipulate visual properties of bodies which contributes to the effectiveness of multibody visualization.
Here is the documentation link of R2019a for manipulating the color of a solid.

Dear Jemima,
Thanks for your answer. Indeed, my question was directed towards how can I give a body multiple colors or maintain the color scheme of an imported stl file.
For the time being, i circumvented the problem by overlaying a green stl. file of the dry earth with a blue wgs84 sized ellipsoid, see below. It's not perfect, but it does the job for the moment.
