ROS catkin_make issue install with AlexNet Example

How do I resolve my catkin_make error from the msra deployed_nn package from:
The following is the result of catkin_make
-- ==> add_subdirectory(msra_deployed_nn)
CMake Error: The following variables are used in this project, but they are set to NOTFOUND.
Please set them or make sure they are set and tested correctly in the CMake files:
linked by target "alexnet" in directory /home/arbot/catkin_ws/src/msra_deployed_nn
-- Configuring incomplete, errors occurred!

I was able to successfully generate the code from MATLAB and deploy onto my JetsonTX2, however after trying to run the example I got that error message. Am I missing something or do I need to correct something in the CMakeLists.txt?

The same issue was reported below and you may have to update your CMake as suggested.

Updating cmake is a very bad idea, because the necessary update, which is mentioned in the issue (3.12.2) is not available in Ubuntu 18.04, which most of (at least our jetson nanos) are working with. Because of a necessary clean build of cmake 3.12.2 with ```sudo ap-get remove --purge --auto-remove cmake``` the depencies will mess up the protoction tools.
The complete Example needs a bit of coding love.
