980861: Academic - can't access 'awng' on 2018a. Shouldn't I have this toolbox?

I am trying to call 'awgn' and get the message below:
To use 'awgn', the following product must be licensed, installed, and enabled:
Communications System Toolbox
I am using license 980861, which should include the communications systems toolbox. Can you let me know if there's a way to update my permissions please?

Try the ver command to see if you have the 2018a version of the Communication Toolbox. If you dont have this toolbox installed, you can install the toolbox through the Add-On Manager. You may also check out the Update tab in the Add-On manager to see if any updates are needed.
