How to stop MATLAB creating unwanted files and folders?

I am using MATLAB 9.7.0.1261785 (R2019b) Update 3 running on macOS Mojave. Recently I did a clean installation of the OS and then MATLAB too. After that, each time I close MATLAB it leaves MATLAB folder in my ~/Documents and matlab_crash_dump.* in my ~/

As I am novice in using MATLAB (much more experienced in R or Python), can anyone explain to me what is heppening and how can I block this folder/file to be created in the first place?
