Urlread/Webread issue on internal network

Hi all,
I'm trying to launch
s = webread('http://IP/query?q=SHOW+DATABASES') or equivalently s = urlread('http://IP/query?q=SHOW+DATABASES')
the following error occurs, that insted does not happen if I direct point an external webpage (e.g. google):
Any suggestions?

Like the error web page says, your access to that website is being blocked by your company's network configuration. Contact your IT support staff to get access to that site.
