Carmaker/Simulink - controller design for vehicle dynamics

I previously designed a controller for lateral velocity and yaw rate signals based on bicycle model using only simulink. Now, I would like to use carmaker/simulink toolchain but I have some doubts regarding how to carry out this process, could someone please help me?
I mean, I suppose that I have to import and export some signals but I don't know precisely how to do that.

Can you be a bit more explicit what signals you'd need to import? What particular calculations would you need to carry out? What (calculation) outputs would you like to have? Data import and export can be done relatively easy in matlab environment if this is of your concern.
