Property Inspector shows no properties in app designer Matlab 2018a

I want to use app designer in Matlab 2018a. I can open the Property Inspector but it does not show any properties when clicking on a

component from the component library. What might be the mistake, Is there a toolbox missing or is this a "not full version" issue?

When this shows up in MS Windows, the most common cause I have seen referred to, is having outdated AMD graphics drivers.
