digital filter warping in continuous form

As you know, when a continuous filter is converted to digital, warping occurs such that the digital filter is not exactly the same as the continuous filter, particularly near the Nyquist frequency. I have been asked the following difficult question, which I cannot answer. Can the warped digital filter be represented in continous form such that the warping is preserved? In other words, can the warping effect seen in the digital form be converted to continous form such that the warping is also captured in continous form?
My license number is 610005, and I have both the Control System Toolbox, and the Signal Processing Toolbox.
Thanks much!
