stale cache in MATLAB 2019A

Using MATLAB 2019A, I am encountering frequent stale cache problems. For example, I edited a matlab function (*.m file) within MATLAB on one computer, saved to a network drive, and a second computer's MATLAB ignores the changes. Another example, I used "movefile" to rename a video file, then tried to read the video, and MATLAB ignored the file name change; this was on the same computer.

MATLAB functions "rehash" and "clear" do not fix the problem. Rebooting the computer does not fix the problem. Exiting and restarting MATLAB does not fix the problem.

Have you tried using 'rehash toolboxcache'?
