Plotting separate line profiles together to form a 3D plot

Hi all,

I have captured stepped data across the x-axis of a light beam yielding a 2D line profile of intensity vs distance. I then repeated the measurement across the y-axis. I would like to combine both of these profiles to yield a 3D graph of the intensity with position in both x and y directions.

Can anyone offer any advice on the best way to approach this?

It's difficult for me to visualise what your data are. I suggest you consider mesh and its related plots to see if they do what you want.
